KOREAN BBQ RICE BOWLS

Designing for my friend Chewy has been an exciting and fun experience. We met through ACE Next Gen and quickly formed a bond that goes beyond just working together.

I was able to design a menu and mural for the Cali-based restaurant, Seoul Bap. The mural had a lot of meaning as I took a lot of inspiration from Korean tiger illustrations. I wanted to include the prominent eyes, larger paws, and unique stripes. The three tigers represent Chewy, her younger sister, and her mother. She wanted them in hanboks, traditional Korean clothing, which I had no problem adding. The patterns and fabrics the hanboks are made with are so beautiful and easily inspiring.

Working with Chewy has shown me the joy of creating with someone who shares my passion, and I'm excited to see where Seoul Bap goes.
